Just found out that we will not be going to court until early April. Apparently judges' vacations are causing the delay. We had really hoped we would be bringing Eli home at the end of March. Now it will be the end of April. We are really upset that he will have to spend another month in the orphanage. We are very sad right now.
Please pray for God to take care of him until he is home with us, where he belongs.

Oh, Ana - I am so sorry. I know you must be very disappointed. You're definitely in our prayers, as are Eli, his caregivers, and everyone involved in his adoption. God is still watching over Eli and you!
I'm sorry to hear this. I know how anxious you are to have him home.
Oh Ana, I know you are so disappointed. Sending prayers to you, Russ, and Eli.
Oh Ana, I'm so sorry to hear this! I know you were hoping to get back in the 4 - 6 week timeframe. I suspect we'll get caught up in vacations and such as well. You, Russ and Eli will definitely be in our prayers!
Ana - we are so sorry to hear the news. I know how disappointing it is. Just remember that the Kolomna folks are taking care of him as best they can - we will pray for his continued good health and for you and Russ for the time to go by quickly. Take the time to get everything super ready - we are so far behind on that front right now (just finally brought Matthew's high chair!). You three are in our thoughts and prayers!
So sorry for the dissappointment. Nothing can take away the pain of having your child so far away. But I will be praying with you that he stays safe and healthy while you wait. And that you get a court date as soon as the judge is back from vacation. {{{HUGS}}}
I will pray that God watches over Eli while you are here in the US. This is very difficult.
Thoughts and Prayers,
Joy
I'm very sorry Ana. I know this is disappointing news. I hope that your court date ends up coming more quickly than expected. Hang in there.
I'm sorry to hear it'll be longer than you hoped before you can go and ink the deal, but you will get there! Speaking from first-hand experience, the time seems to creep by when you're waiting, but it will pass. We'll keep your whole family (including little Eli) in our prayers! Lori
Don't be upset, really, you have no idea what God has in store for you. Our court date will be 8 weeks after we met Artem but I'm so thankful we have the extra time to get visas at a decent rate, plane tickets and apartments. The couple extra weeks are really working in our favor. I'll even be able to take the rest of the school year off on maternity leave.
It will all work out for the best, you'll see.
God will take care of Eli, and you two, too. Hang in there. I will pray that March goes quickly for you.
Dear Ana,
Prayers--I know the "planning time" is not more of what you wanted at this juncture; Lenten sacrifice of being impatient is just about doing me in! Will pray for you, Russ and Eli--as you told me, God has great plans for all of us :-). God bless. Sally & Carlos
...that said, I totally agree with Susan--the extra weeks have helped in getting decent apt. arrangements and fares! Bright side approach works, Susan, tho' I'm not always the best practitioner of it :-). S.
Oh Ana, I am so sorry to hear this. I know you must be so heartbroken. I will keep praying for Eli to come home soon. God is holding him for you until you can return to him, and he will be just perfect when that day comes :)
