home, for a few days anyway

We made it home safely. Yesterday was a long day. It was so hard to leave without Eli, and I probably cried for half the flight. Now that we are home, and I have actually had some sleep, I am feeling better. I have a lot to do this week, but I feel good about that, because everything I have to do is about bringing him home! Only 9 more days until we are holding him again!

Please continue to keep Eli in your prayers.

So happy to hear you're feeling better. I hope these next 9 days go quickly for you so that you can be reunited with Eli. Prayers are being lifted up for your entire family!

Leaving them behind is so hard but the time will pass quickly getting everything ready. Hang in there and he will be back in your arms before you know it.

8 more days for us, and then one day later, we'll both be holding Russian babies :-). Hang in there. Sally

I think making the decision to leave and come home is one that everyone struggles with. You will probably be so busy this week that the time will fly by. That does not change the fact that you are hurting now.
Eli may not be with you but he is in your hearts. You are his Mother and nothing will change that.

There is nothing like that feeling of leaving your child halfway accross the world. I hope you're able to keep busy - it's not long now.

I'm so glad you made it home safely. Leaving Owen and being away from him after our first trip was the hardest thing I've ever done. I cried most of the flight home. You're so close, Ana! Just a little bit longer, and he will be in your arms forever and ever :)
